Shannon Garner, Superintendent
Born on June 11, 1969 in Advance, MO. Have lived here my entire life. Graduated from Advance High School in 1987. Graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education. Started teaching/coaching at Zalma Schools in 1995 where I taught PE and coached girls volleyball for seven years. Received my Masters degree in School Counseling in 2002. Became the school counselor at Zalma from 2002 until 2007. In 2007 I became the Elementary Principal at Advance until 2014. In 2014 became the K-12 principal at Zalma. In 2016 took on my present role as Superintendent of Advance Schools. On September 7, 1991 I married Sara. We have two children, Wesley and Lexis. I like to listen to 80's rock, watch the St. Louis Cardinals, North Carolina Tar Heels, and eat a steak or a good juicy hamburger washed down with an ice cold Coke.

Gena Sitton, High School Principal
Born in Potosi, MO on December 7, 1974. Graduated High School in 1993. During undergraduate studies at UMSL for Bio/Chemistry, I worked for the Washington University Human Genome Sequencing. Afterwards I took a position with KV Pharmaceuticals. Went back to school to get my teaching credentials to become a HS Science teacher in 2002. Started teaching at Ste. Genevieve HS in 2002 and have taught at Potosi HS and Central Park Hills HS all in the Sciences ~ Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, Genetics, Forensics, and Physics. Throughout the past 18 years I have obtained my Masters, Specialists, and I am currently working on my PhD in Educational Administration. In August 2016 my family and I were blessed to relocate to Southeast Missouri. My husband and I have fallen in love with this area and our children, Collin and Blair, love this school and this community. I have a heart to serve this community and to stay here as long as the Good Lord allows for us to be a part of "One of the Friendliest Places on Earth."
