Class 1 District 3 volleyball tournament begins today at Bell City High School. AHS plays Marquand at 5:00pm. Admission is $6 for all, age 6 and up, per MSHSAA. Come support the team! #HornetPride!

Congratulations to our very own Ms. Vangennip! She was 1 of over 1,750 applicants to receive a grant from Missouri's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to pursue a Specialist's Degree in Elementary Mathematics. A quote from DESE stated, "We believe this emphasizes the high-level interest in effectively educating our students and increasing their mathematics learning, the need for providing financial assistance to our teachers, as well as the overall need for increased mathematics educational opportunities for our Missouri teachers." 7th Grade Math students enjoyed a field trip to Bank of Advance 10/18 after a unit on integers. Students made real-world connections by making "transactions", estimating, and listening to a short lesson on how banking works. Thank you Bank of Advance for supporting our students in the classroom!

Advance R-IV Schools will not be in session for Thursday October 20th due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. School will not be in session on Friday October 21st and Monday October 24th for fall break. CTC students will attend CTC on these days, and the bus will leave the high school at 7:40am each day.

Reminder: Advance R-IV Schools will be holding Parent/Teacher conferences on Thursday October 20th from 1:00pm to 7:00pm. Elementary students and parents/guardians have scheduled conference times with their homeroom teachers. All High School teachers are available throughout the evening for drop in visits. Advisory teachers will have report cards to handout for 7th grade through 12th grade students. We appreciate your support of our school, and look forward to continued success and partnership throughout the school year. #HornetPride!

Today we had a fire alarm go off. We evacuated the building. There was no fire. We are replacing a roof top HVAC unit. It is hooked to the fire alarm. It caused it to go off. We double checked all buildings and the rooftop units. Again there was no fire. We took the extra precaution of evacuating. We were not outside very long and once the all clear was established we went right back to school work. Just want to keep everyone in the know.
