The Student of the Month program is a new initiative aimed at promoting positive behaviors among students and recognizing their achievements. Each month, staff members can nominate students who demonstrate qualities like respect, initiative, teamwork, perseverance, and consistent performance. The 3rd-6th grade winner for October is Avery. Avery's nominator said, "Avery has shown outstanding dedication to his education, with perfect attendance so far this year. His hard work in math has been exceptional, consistently putting in the effort to improve and understand challenging concepts. Avery's positive attitude and kindness stand out in the sixth grade. He is always respectful to teachers, listens attentively, and participates thoughtfully in discussions. Not only is Avery a model student, but he is also a true friend to his peers, always willing to lend a hand and offer encouragement. His leadership, responsibility, and strong sense of community make him an excellent candidate for Student of the Month.!" Congratulations, Avery! #StudentOfTheMonth

Adelyn's nominator said, "Adelyn is an exceptional worker. She does a great job listening and applying her newly learned skills. She is extremely polite and courteous to all in the classroom. She works diligently and is always respectful to others. I nominate Adelyn because she works very hard and does a great job and because she has a wonderful attitude. She is an outstanding student!" Good Afternoon, Once again our volleyball team has qualified for the State competition in Cape on Friday and Saturday. Our girls play at 2:00 pm on Friday. In order to give any staff, student and parent the opportunity to attend this game, the Advance Board of Education and the Administration have decided it is best to let out of school a half day on Friday. Therefore, Advance Schools will be letting out early this Friday, November 8, 2024. School will be dismissed at 12:30pm. Good luck to our Volleyball team as they compete in the Missouri State Volleyball Championship.

JH Boys Basketball begins SCAA Tournament play on Monday 11/4. Brackets are attached. 8th grade plays at 5:15pm, and 7th plays at 7:45pm. Tournament is being played at Richland. #HornetPride!

AHS Cross Country will travel to Arcadia Valley High School on Saturday November 2nd for their district meet. The girls will run at 1:00pm and the boys will run at 1:45pm. Admission to the meet will be $6 for ages 6 and up. Come support the team! #HornetPride!

The month of October is recognized as Anti-Bullying Month. During special counseling classes, students learned about bullying, the importance of kindness, and participated in a coloring and poster contest. Pictured below are 5th grade poster contest winners.
