Great start to the 2023 and SCAA Volleyball season tonight. Lady Hornets Varsity defeated the Bernie Lady Mules 25-10, 25-13, 25-14. Great start to the year ladies.
Junior varsity came up short against the Mules. 11-25, 16-25. Keep working hard ladies.
Advance R-4 School District is currently seeking bids for the construction of an entrance road to the school's under construction bus garage. Bids should include cutting and leveling of the road base (minimum of 8 inches below grade), filling low areas to achieve a level road, base layer of 2 inch minus gravel, finish layer of 3/4 inch minus gravel. Entrance from School Street shall meet all city requirements and culvert be at least 8 feet wider than the constructed road to allow for turning radius of the bus. Road should be bid at 16 feet wid. An alternate bid for a 20 foot wide road should also be submitted. Project site available for inspection by contacting Mr. Shannon Garner at 573-722-3581 during regular business hours. Advance Schools reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids.
Advance R-4 School District is currently accepting applications for Maintenance position. This position may be full time or part time depending on the applications received and the needs of the school. This position will require knowledge in general maintenance, preference given for HVAC experience and/or Electrical experience. Applications can be obtained on the Advance School's website; www.advancehornets.org or in person at the Central Office at 201 School Street, Advance, MO 63730. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Paducah supports the new literacy initiatives at Advance Schools. Amber Stuppy, supervisor of Advance McDonalds, presented a check on behalf of #RMHC for the purchase of novels and children's books. We appreciate the support in our work of enriching the lives of children.
Advance R-IV Schools resume Wednesday August 23rd. Buses will run the same routes as we ended with last year. Times may vary the first couple days. Please have your bus rider ready a little earlier just in case. Please be cautious as buses return to our district roadways. We look forward to a safe and successful school year! #HornetPride!

During open house we will have 7th grade orientation from 6-7 PM in Mrs. Eggimann’s classroom. We will review policies and procedures for those students entering junior high. Mrs. Eggimann will review Google Classroom, TeacherEase and Remind with both students and parents.
During open house on Thursday, August 17th, a representative from Three Rivers will be having an orientation for all students enrolled in dual credit classes through them. Any junior or senior that is interested in taking a dual credit course are welcome as well. This will take place from 6-7 PM in the High School Choir classroom.
Advance R-IV Schools will be holding open house Thursday August 17, 2023
from 3pm to 7pm. Cheekwood will be taking school pictures during this time.

The old gym is open again for walkers from 5:30 am till 1:00 pm. Any other activity in the old gym must be prearranged and approved by the school. The old gym is closed at 9:00 pm for all activities regardless.
Individual student MAP and EOC scores will be available at Open House.
